Education and Experience

Jack has completed his economics degree at a local college. He currently is a full-time bank teller at TD bank, and has being working there for one and half years. However, he has never felt fulfilled from this job. With two years experience working in the bank, he realized that he does not want to keep doing the job related to his studies. He finally set up his mind to do what he really loves, and be ready to change his career path to video game programming and designing. He is considering to do further education to learn and complete a certification or diploma to further explore computer field.

Roles and Responsibilities

Jack goes to work at 8am and off from work at 4pm everyday from Monday to Friday. He is single and lives at an apartment alone, but has a dog to take care. He needs to walk his dog for at least half hour after work.  He has a second-used car used for his daily travel

Technical Skills

Jack is good with basic computer technology. He has fast internet connections and fully functional laptop at home. He is also a quick learner and able to quickly adopted new computer applications.  He also has basic programming and computer skills he learned by himself while he was explore the subject of video games.

Subject Domain Skills and Knowledge

Since he completed economics degree, he has overall basic financial and economic knowledge that he learned from school. He has overall knowledge of how a small business runs.

Motivation and Desires

He loves playing and studying video games in his free time, which is his greatest pleasure of the day. Therefore, he wants to create a game and introduce his work to everyone. If possible, Jack also wants to start a business with the game he created.

Goals and Expectations

He wants to enrich himself by receive further education on computer programming field, and become a game designer. His final goal is to start his own company eventually, design his own games with partners.

Obstacles to their Success

Obstacles he has is lack time. Since he has to work full-time, which leaves him less time to study. However, quitting job is not an opinion for him since he need financing support for various computer courses.

Another problem is he lack of friends and lacking of social skills. Since he spend most of the time to working, he don’t have enough time to maintain a healthy social life. He always believe that in order to get success it is better to have more people to collaborate with. More brains always better than one.
